MIDDLE SCHOOL - Grades 6th – 8th
The Middle School provides a warm, welcoming
environment and an educational program designed to prepare students for
life beyond the middle school years in and out of the classroom. The focus is on learning as a process and
developing skills that will lead to thoughtful and effective problem
solving in each subject. Our
teachers understand that each student will approach material a little
differently and at a slightly different pace.
Our experienced teachers are passionate and
dedicated educators. They are content area experts, who excel at coaching
students to be independent and thoughtful learners, while promoting
creativity and higher level thinking skills. Their approach to teaching
reflects a belief that the middle-school years when students are taking
their first steps toward the changes of adolescence can be a time for
extraordinary learning. Our program
provides structure and support as they encounter these changes.
CHAPEL &
DAILY DEVOTIONS
Gloria
Dei Lutheran School is a ministry of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Students learn and grow in a nurturing
Christian atmosphere where values, morals, civility, and Biblical
principles are taught and modeled by all staff members. Students attend a weekly chapel service
and participate in daily devotions within their home base. We teach students to honor and respect
God and others as well as themselves.
